Character Cast for Daughter of Ravenswood

Dear friends and readers, this is the character cast from my imagination ….

Don’t read this post if you have a clear idea of how the characters look!

This is my first attempt at using Getty embedded images … I think it’s a great idea for bloggers and authors. At this size the Getty marking watermark and logo isn’t too obtrusive. Anyway here goes with my idea for casting if I was turning the Daughter of Ravenswood series into a movie!!

I probably haven’t got the ages quite right. And not necessarily all of the characteristics quite the same. I’ve gone more for an overall impression and feel.

Ready? Here goes:

This is how I see Meagan my heroine: Claire Foy playing a nice balance of strength and vulnerability.

Ewen McGregor has always been one of my favourite actors. Brooding and intense, or playful and teasing. I see him playing Glynn exactly the way he exists in my mind.

Purah  was harder to cast.  I couldn’t find any actors that matched the image in my mind. But then I found this one. And for me this is Purah.

Kate Hudson was my first pick to play Shelley. Bubbly and enthusiastic, sweet and good-natured. Always supportive of her friends, including her new friend Meagan.

For Rose, Megan’s best friend from Saint Stevens orphanage, I really couldn’t find anyone that fits my image of Rose perfectly. But Katy Perry comes close.

Philip Glenister was always the man in my head for Boyce Westall. He plays every role with such an undercurrent of malelovant intensity, he’s just perfect!

Liv Tyler for Evie. Another straightforward choice for me!

Do you picture famous movie stars in your head while you are reading? I don’t normally. Most times when I’m reading I have a general wraith-like impression rather than a fully fleshed person.

What do you think of these choices for the Daughter of Ravenswood Movie? (should it ever be made :D)
